Kids at the Capitol

Written last night:

Dear Friends,

You know what it’s like — you clean the house (three rooms!) and the whole day disappears. I must have done something else …

Patrice and I decided to read The Fallacy Detective together. A student in Tallahassee introduced the book to me. It’s an easy -to-read introduction to clear thinking, happily laced with cartoons but still taut and logical. This could be dangerous.

About lunchtime Zing and I walked down to the Capitol, where the park was full of school children shouting and running around after a picnic on the lawn. One boy dashed happily in front of us, his thermos clinking against his lunchbox. He ran up the steps of the Capitol like he owned the place. Imagine!

Love,
k
